There’s a lot of cuteness packed into this pint-sized pup. Lola Sue belongs to Shelley Burris of Stuart Mechanical who got the wee dog as a gift for her son. “He’s been asking for a dog for many years,” she said. Lola Sue (who got her middle name from Shelley’s late mother) is a 4-month-old Havanese who is smart as a whip. She was house trained before she turned 3 months old and already knows the commands sit, stay and down.
Here’s a fun fact about the Havanese: it’s the only dog breed native to Cuba. They are social beings with the instincts of a born clown so they naturally love to perform tricks. Little Lola weighs only 2.8 pounds but will grow to 9 to 12 pounds as an adult.
Shelley and her family are first-time dog owners but are already smitten with their new puppy. “She is very playful and brings a lot of joy to our family,” said Shelley. “We are just learning her personality and getting into a routine of having a fur baby. She really is so tiny and cute! We could not be happier with our baby girl.”
