Our January 2017 Pet of the Month was a beautiful tuxedo cat. Our February Pet of the Month just thinks he’s a cat. According to Danielle Emmett from McFarland-Dyer & Associates, her canine Boomer likes to rub against the humans’ legs and arch his back – you know, like cats do. But luckily for Boomer he’s not a real cat because Danielle’s husband is allergic to actual cats.
This beautiful pup, a retriever/shepherd/Plott Hound mix, was rescued by the Emmetts about five months ago. He is full of personality, loves to chase toys (especially at 5 a.m.) and shakes his paw with the air (because that’s how he thinks treats are scored.)
For being named our February Pet of the Month, Boomer has won a goody basket from Pooch N Paws Pet Boutique with more than $40 in treats and toys hand selected just for him.
