Get to Know Chad Cartee, Support Escalation Engineer

This Georgia native will be celebrating his 9-year anniversary with MIS next month and is well known and loved by our clients and staff alike. If there’s a tough problem to solve, Chad’s the go-to guy. “Chad was wonderful as always” and “Chad is the best!” are just two of the overwhelmingly positive reviews our clients have left after working with him. Chad’s full of surprises, too.

Where were you born? Lived all except 1.5 years in Georgia when I relocated for a job.

Tell me about your family…spouse, kids, pets? I live with my dad and brother. I’m the oldest of three with a middle sister and youngest brother.

Where are some of the places you’ve traveled? And what was your favorite? I’ve traveled up and down the East Coast. I’ve been as far south as Puerto Rico and as far north as Montreal. Been to Hawaii but Las Vegas was probably my favorite place to visit as something was always happening.

What is something most people don’t know about you? I’m a huge fan of Electronic Dance Music (EDM).

When and how did you become interested in EDM? Had a friend introduce me to it with after-hours events in 2001 and fell in love immediately. Having missed the peak of Drums ‘n Bass (DnB) in the ‘90s I focused on this genre heavily while exploring Techno, Trance and others as well.

What is one thing you avoid like the plague? I have a long list of foods that I can’t stand the taste and avoid but will try almost any food once.

Favorite quote? “It is not my intent to offend, so if offense is taken, the fault lies with the audience.” Attributed to Patrick Henry but probably coined by Thomas Paine

Do you have a motto by which you live? If so, what? If you’re not learning, you’re dying.
