Have you heard of the Aero Shake? It’s a nifty feature that was introduced in Windows 7 and is available on all later versions of the operating system. If you’re the type of person who usually has multiple program windows open on your monitor at the same time, then you will find the Aero Shake very useful. It allows you to minimize all windows except the one you want to remain visible.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever found yourself minimizing windows one by one in order to declutter your screen’s workspace. It can be a tedious task depending on how many windows you need to minimize. The Aero Shake allows you to get rid of all but one window in an instant.
To use it, position your cursor in the title bar at the top of the window you want to keep. (The title bar is the one that has the X in the corner.) Left click on your mouse and while holding down, shake the mouse back and forth quickly. After a few shakes, all windows except the one you’re shaking will minimize leaving you with a perfectly uncluttered screen.
