Grace Park of JH & Associates shared these pictures of her 2-year-old fur baby, Minnie, who is a teddy bear dog. Teddy Bear dogs are actually a cross between a Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise and their faces actually resemble those of teddy bears. Both Shih Tzus and Bichon Frises are non-shedding breeds. Bonus! And Shih Tzus actually have a coat of hair – not fur – just like people.
Minnie gets to accompany her human at the office several times a month. She has the loving, happy temperament of a Shih Tzu and the charismatic, cheerful characteristics of a Bichon Frise. Teddy Bears are known for being loyal companions, and Minnie is no different. According to Grace, Minnie needs to be in contact with her human parents and follows them wherever they go.
During potty training, Grace would reward Minnie with treats when she would successfully use her pee pad. And now that she has mastered this, she still insists on getting a treat and won’t move until she gets her reward.
