Tim joined our team in April and from the very start has been a fan favorite amongst our clients who’ve had the pleasure of working with him. He’s a big man at 6’ 5” with a big servant heart to boot. His given name is Tatenda, which is of Zimbabwe origin and means “Thank You.” We are certainly thankful to have such a dedicated, friendly person on staff to help our clients when technology issues pop up.
Where did you grow up? Harare, Zimbabwe
Tell me about your family…spouse, kids, pets? I am married to Immaculate one of the most amazing persons I know in the world and we have a beautiful baby girl, Alaina Hope. I am also a dog-lover and have two lovely Siberian Huskies very energetic dogs, I must say.
What is your favorite food? Traditional Sadza(Corn Meal) and Beef Stew
What is your favorite book? Rich Dad Poor Dad is a 1997 book written by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter.
Do you have any hobbies? I like reading and experimenting with vendor technology. I have my own tech lab for study.
Where are some of the places you’ve traveled? And what was your favorite? Victoria Falls, Eastern Highlands, Vumba Forest Hills, Inyanga, Kariba Bumi Hills and they are equally all my favorites.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I am a motocross fan
What is one thing you avoid like the plague? Comparing myself to others.
Favorite quote? Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
What did you do before joining MIS? I worked as a Systems Engineer for Liquid Telecom Zimbabwe
Tell us a little bit about what you do each day in your job. I help support clients with technical issues related to computer systems like Hardware, Information Security and Networking/Cloud Services. I also help clients with their requests for information.
What do you like best about working at MIS? The culture. At MIS there’s a feeling of belonging and friendship. I like the buddy program and how my teammates are always willing to help me when I need a hand. I have been enjoying the mentorship of my teammates who have a vast wealth of knowledge that they are always willing to share.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work? Watching cartoons with my daughter or a movie with my wife.
