In case you couldn’t guess, Brendan is the older brother of our CEO, Lliam Holmes. He joined MIS in 2015 and today he works in a hybrid role as both a support and projects engineer. Brendan has been instrumental in helping with onboarding many of our new clients through the years. He was born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, and moved to the states when he was 10.
So what’s it like working for your brother? Honestly the same as working for anyone else. He is fair and truly does his best to treat me exactly the same as he treats any other employee here. I’m extremely proud of him and what he has been able to accomplish.
Tell us about your family. Sarah and I have been married for almost six years. Combined, we have four kids that all get along wonderfully, Lily and Kelyn are the oldest at 16 (only 2 days apart) then there’s Morgan who is 15 and Kian, the only boy is 12. We have a Chiweenie named Pampoen which means pumpkin in Afrikaans, who is very much a goofball.
What is your favorite food? Don’t specifically have a favorite, but as long as there is a lot of meat, I’m good
Name something on your bucket list. I want to try hang gliding.
What is something most people don’t know about you? I am actually quite shy by nature
Favorite book? Love the series Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn by Tad Williams

What’s the craziest/funniest/most outrageous thing you’ve ever witnessed/done? I took my younger sister skydiving for her 18th birthday. Neither of us had ever been and she was the only one brave enough to go with me.
Tell us a little bit about what you do each day. Each day brings something different. It could be configuring phones, setting up profiles, installing computers.
What’s the most fun thing about your job and why? I love the fact that every day brings something different. There are so many challenges that it keeps everything interesting.
What do you like to do for fun outside of work? At this point in my life, the thing I like best outside of work is spending time with my family. The kids are growing so fast I don’t want to miss a single moment.
